Pharmacists across the US are still struggling to keep up with demand for ADHD medication Adderall, according to the Food and Drug Administration’s drug shortage database. Though supply has improved since the FDA first confirmed the shortage in October 2020 due to increased demand during the pandemic, some doses may not be available until mid-May. With the shortage affecting supplies of generic versions too, some pharmacies are forced to sell customers alternate ADHD medications or turn them away completely.
