Nationwide Adderall Shortage Leaves ADHD Suffers Without Medication

For months, some US pharmacies have been complaining about difficulties trying to obtain Adderall.

The FDA announced the shortage of the drug, also known as amphetamine mixed salts, in a press release on Wednesday, noting that Teva Pharmaceuticals, the country's largest Adderall manufacturer, was out of stock.

Despite the efforts of other manufacturers to keep the pills flowing, "there is woefully inadequate supply to meet US consumer needs through those manufacturers."

The shortage is slated to last into 2023, leaving students and those suffering from ADHD scrambling to find alternatives.
